Later this year the UKPMHN are planning to resume their study tours for practitioners working within the fields of mental health and social work who are keen to explore the complex interface between politics and psychological well-being in the particular circumstances of Palestine/Israel.
The tour provides excellent access to clinicians, academics, community groups and political analysts. It will be facilitated by a small UK company with twenty years’ experience providing alternative tours to the area. Hotels will be located in Bethlehem and Nazareth with visits to Jerusalem, Hebron, Ramallah, the Jordan Valley, Jaffa/Tel Aviv, and the Naqab/Negev. Travel will be in a private comfortable coach with an expert local driver from a licensed bus company.
Those wishing to extend their stay at either end of the tour for further exploration will receive expert advice and support.
The cost of approximately £1250 per person includes the full tour programme staying at good three-star hotels at half-board (bed, breakfast and evening meal), sharing a twin-bedded room with ensuite facilities, guidance from the tour leader, other day-guides, donations, and tips. Flights, lunches and travel insurance are not included. An additional supplement of £230 is charged for those requiring single room accommodation. A £300 non-refundable deposit along with your booking form will be due once your place is confirmed.
